“This is a deuce highboy roadster, code for a 1932 Ford with the fenders tossed but the roadster body still high atop the frame just where ol' Henry put it. It's a traditional form, the archetypal hot rod, the basic unit of post–World War II, Southern California, returning-serviceman car exuberance. A roadster was light, and the rodders made it lighter still by throwing away all the nonessentials. Then they did their homemade best with the available flathead V-8s and looked for opponents on the road or on California's dry lakes. The market has seen many more of these popular fiberglass bodies come up over the last few years but not many were done as well as the one you are looking at today. With a full frame-up build completed about 5 years ago there aren't any mystery pieces within this wonderful looking and driving machine. The new 351ci engine mated to smooth shifting Tremek TKO 500 transmission, this is one of the few that host a Ford engine within a Ford and can be appreciated even by the purists. All performance parts are new, the chrome work throughout is in great condition and shows well to all to gawk at and there doesn't appear to be any sign of damage or wear since its build. This model hosts a key fob for your kill switch and, in case you lose your keys, it also has a very clever safety switch made out of two rivets almost hidden underneath the dash that as soon as they have a current connecting them it reactivates the power solenoid for its push button start. The fan as well as the fuel pump are also featured push buttons on the dash and all of the wiring diagrams and button layouts are organized in an easy to read binder that is also included in this sale. This is a real looker with all the life just starting to be lived and is ready for its next lucky owner to enjoy!
