In 1980, Audi introduced the world to the marvels of Quattro, its new all-wheel-drive system. While not the first of its kind, the quattro soon became one of the most successful as it was implemented into Audi's Group B world rally racing cars and easily decimated the competition. With up to 600hp in the most potent Group B vehicles, Audi had an immediate advantage being able route the power through all four wheels. The rallying stage was changed forever as all of Audi's competitors soon began to develop similar systems. Audi of course started implementing the system on road cars and the word Quattro became a household name. Fast forward to 2013 and Audi's RS5 Quattro powerhouse. Featuring a high revving 4.2L V8 engine, a 7-speed dual clutch automatic and of course all-wheel-drive, the RS5 is one of Audi's sportiest models. The lack of forced induction means that this natural aspirated V8 has superb linear power delivery and a stratospheric 8500 readline. With a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds and the ability to pull 0.96 G on a skidpad, this RS5 has racing pedigree in its blood. With just 16,461 miles, this Sepang Blue example is indistinguishable from new. Excellent paint, unmarked wheels, tires with tons of tread and a pristine interior and uncracked dash are part of the deal. It even has a 3M clear bra to protect the front of the car. In addition to all the RS specific parts, this example has Lunar Silver leather interior, sunroof, heated power seats, adaptive xenon headlights, carbon fiber trim and parking sensors. Some of the optional equipment in the original $75k window sticker included Audi's MMI navi plus package as well as the sport exhaust system. This well cared vehicle has all the original equipment as well as the window sticker and owner's manuals. Initially sold in Maryland, this two owner vehicle is very rare, with just 1509 sold in the the States in 2013. With racing pedigree and four season usability this racey Audi is ready to roll.
