After a very successful launch of the retro designed Thunderbird, Ford, for model year 2004, introduced a limited edition model, in which Fords designers were inspired by beauty, colors and smells of the Pacific Coast Highway. As a limited edition, Ford produced just 1000 units of its 2004 Pacific Coast Edition Thunderbird. They all came painted in Monterey Mist Metallic Paint with a Light Ash Convertible top and an Ash Metallic removable hard top with its signature Port Hole rear window. The interior of these cars all came in a two tone light and dark ash scheme with metallic appliques that dress the center concise, shifter bezel and instrument cluster, all riding on 17 inch 16 spoke aluminum wheels with Monterey Mist metallic paint accenting the centers. Just out of a private collection, The 2004 Ford Thunderbird Pacific Coast Edition offered here is number 891 of the 1000 built. The car remains in pristine condition boasting just 19934 original miles. The car has been garaged and cared for since new and has always been kept in a detailed state. The car is powered by its 4.0 liter DOHC V8 mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission working delivering a smooth and spirited 280 horsepower. For the first time in 45 years, the Ford Thunderbird was reintroduced as a 2 seat roadster.
