The new model was a revised and updated version of the 308 GTS , which was produced for eight years without any major change to the overall shape, but with changes to the engine. The 328 model showed more of a softening of the wedge profile of the 308, with a redesigned nose that had a more rounded shape. The 328 GTS model was the final developments of the normally aspirated transverse V8 engine with two seats. The 328 figures in the model title were in reference to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3.2 litres, and 8 for total amount of cylinders. The new model was introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Salon alongside the Mondial 3.2 series. This particular 328 GTS comes with the high-demand red exterior matched to perfection with the Connolly leather beige interior.
