The Land Cruiser is Toyotas longest running series. It began in 1951 and is still made to this day. It has been produced in convertible, hardtop, station wagon and utility truck versions. It is known worldwide for it's reliability and longevity. The FJ-60 was produced from 1980 thorough 1989 for most worldwide markets. It retained the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Cruisers but was designed to better compete in the emerging sport utility market making it a little more refined for urban driving. This Land Cruiser was purchased new locally at Betten Toyota, of Grand Rapids, MI and remained in the same family changing ownership twice from grandfather to grandson to brother. It has always been maintained, almost never driven in winters, and cared for and driven just 124322 miles since new. As a result, this FJ 62 Land Cruiser remains in excellent original condition throughout. The original interior is quite remarkable featuring excellent original carpeting, seats, near perfect dash, and trim panels. The original Beige Metallic paint remains in excellent overall condition with a few stone chips, the underside is dry, clean and original with excellent frame and inner rockers, and the engine bay is tidy. The truck is powered by its original 4.0 liter inline 6 cylinder fuel injected engine, 4 speed automatic transmission and Toyotas rugged and proven 4 wheel drive system. The truck came well appointed with standard options: vented power assist front disc brakes, 2 speed transfer case with one touch transfer case selector, manual front locking hubs, front and rear stabilizer bars, power steering, tilt wheel, heavy-duty engine cooling system, front and rear chrome bumpers, transfer case and fuel tank protectors, dual chrome outside mirrors, intermittent windshield wipers, rear window wiper and defogger, center console with rear heater, remote fuel door release, tinted glass, full carpeting, AM/M 4 speaker stereo, reclining bucket seats, full instrumentation with digital clock, tow hook and 3 point rear seat belts. Optional equipment included cassette, power package consisting of power windows, power door locks and power mirrors, and 4 piece carpeted floor mats. Mechanically, this Land Cruiser is excellent in all areas. The motor is strong, the suspension is tight, the 4 wheel drive works excellent, all the power options work including the mirrors and power antenna, the air blows ice cold and has been converted to R134, tires are good and the vehicle is turn key and ready for immediate use. The 4X4 world is on fire and vintage Toyota's are leading the market and gaining value. The low mileage, 1989 FJ62 Cruiser offered here is the best original example we have seen and will not disappoint.
