THIS. . . is a 2014 Subaru BRZ, finished in Dark Gray Metallic with a black and gray interior. The odometer currently displays approximately 29,300 miles. Extensively modified, this BRZ is powered by a turbocharged "2JZ-GTE VVT-i" 3. 0-liter inline-6 built by Toyota. Other modifications include a "CD009" 6-speed manual transmission from a Nissan 370Z, Kelford camshafts, and a Motec M130 ECU. Additional modifications are listed below. Factory equipment includes a Torsen limited-slip differential, cloth upholstery, front sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an AM/FM sound system with CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, and cruise control. Developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru, the first-generation BRZ was introduced for the 2013 model year. It was instantly celebrated as a reasonably affordable (and, as this build shows, highly tunable) coupe with excellent handling. It remained in production with a Subaru-sourced flat-4 engine — never with a Toyota-built straight-6 — until late 2020. Power for this BRZ comes from a "2JZ-GTE VVT-i" straight-6, rated at about 276 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque in stock form. The modifications likely increase those figures, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
