This stunning International Scout 800 Sportop 4x4 may have hit the mark as the most unique and well done vehicle in a long time. The Sportop was a very rare setup in the International lineup and very few were produced. This vehicle gives the driver many options – drive with friends, take off the top and cruise the beach or load up with gear and go where the action takes you. Vehicle just recently received an impressive frame on restoration that took over 14 months to complete and once you look closely at the pictures you will see the dedication that the two man team put into this vehicle. They started with a rust free Oregon vehicle and striped the paint and reapplied the factory correct Apache Gold paint and the white removable hard top. Engine was pulled out and rebuilt to proper factory specs and bolts, fasteners and hardware was all new. Vehicle also received new chrome bumpers, new brake shoes, new leaf springs, bushings and shocks, rebuilt radiator with hoses, new fuel lines and fuel pump, new starter, new heating duct work, new carpet, door panels, new seats, sun visors, interior hardware, exhaust system, all fresh weather-stripping and window felt and 5 brand new white wall tires. Vehicle drives very nicely and does not wonder the roads like most of these and engages into gear properly and the twin stick transfer case work great. These came pretty well optioned from the factory and carries the cool white wall tires, heater, front bucket seats, rear bench seat and the very cool rear mounted spare tire. This is an exceptional vehicle and comes with factory brochures, original build sheet and many fun memories ahead for the next owner.
