Product Details

The sixth generation Cadillac (1959 – 60) designed by GM's new hot shot designer, Bill Mitchel, were quite different than the smooth curvaceous Harley Earl cars of generations prior. Mitchel's cars were lower, longer edgier; featuring their signature tail fins that embodied the futuristic age of motoring. Just out of long term storage, this barn find, two owner, running and driving 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible remains in virtually all original condition featuring only 58169 original miles. The car is presented in its original Fawn factory paint over Saddle Leather interior and covered by a Light Sandalwood convertible top. This car was thoroughly enjoyed by is caring owner for a number of years until health reasons caused the car to be driven to storage and parked for the next 20 plus years until our recent acquisition. The car was carefully removed, evaluated and serviced as follows: New battery, clean carburetor and set timing. New master cylinder, new brakes hoses, new brake lines, new wheel cylinders, new brake shoes, new spark plugs, new points, new rotor, new points, new condenser, new cap, replaced coil….all the basics needed when a car is unused for that long. The car is not free of needs and with the exception of a little rust along the bottom rockers, the car is in very solid condition and a little effort will make a very nice driver or it is a strong candidate for a restoration as the car is complete and a good runner. The interior bright work is very nice and all the trinkets are there. These cars are highly optioned and highly in demand.
