Product Details

Spanning six decades the SL is a Grand Touring car manufactured by Mercedes Benz since 1954. However, the idea of the SL was the brain child of US importer Max Hoffman who saw a need for a toned-down Grand Prix car tailored to affluent performance enthusiasts of the booming economy of Post War Americans, which still remains the primary market for these automobiles. Now the SL's of today are not the Gullwings of yesterday nor will they ever be worth what a Gullwing is, however they still hold true to their automotive roots. The 107 Chassis as seen here was built for almost eighteen years in a singular body design. There were many engine variants but for the most part the car apperared similar for that amount of time. This particular beauty we are offering is special in the fact that it has traveled just over 30,000 miles from new and is a two-owner vehicle. The current owner and consignor has owned this spectacular specimen since 1990 and has always been stored properly and serviced. It is finished in the very classy combination of white over grey with matching factory hard-top. It is completely stock, serviced and has a perfect car fax. The soft top is newer and in perfect condition. In addition to everything operating as it should, this 560 starts, runs and drives as it should with excellent power. The tires and brakes are in fine shape as is the suspension. This car would make a great addition to any collection. Comes with service records and car cover.
