The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had mass produced a true all-around sports car. This '64 Corvette Roadster comes out of a private collection and is a 2-family owned beauty. It shows incredibly well in factory color Daytona Blue with dark blue vinyl interior. We hold documentation showing that this is believed to be powered by the numbers matching 327ci V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. This stingray is a highly original example with one excellent re-paint and near flawless chrome that has this car in show condition. It also received a full mechanical refresh this summer and a new clock leaving this stingray running as beautiful as it looks! It also has the very rare and hard to find factory color-matching hardtop in excellent condition.
