The Gran Sport was introduced by Buick in 1964 as the answer to the Pontiac GTO . By 1968 it was the second generation and would be offered through the end of the muscle car era in 1972. The GS 400 offered the 340 Horsepower and was offered in a coupe or a convertible. In 1969 the GS 400 wore a different hood with cold-air induction as only previously seen on the Stage I and Stage II cars in 1968. Although badged as a Stage I it is not. This car is a true GS 400 car that received a restoration 12 years ago starting with a good solid car that still shows extremely well. Other than the carpet the interior is original that and is still very presentable. The engine and transmission are believed to be numbers matching to the car which runs and shifts as they should. The convertible top has been completely gone through with pump, lines, motor etc… This car is a very nice example that has been lovingly cared for and will offer someone years of enjoyment with an upside of value in the end.
