It is equipped with the 200hp version of the 283ci small block V8 matted to a 2-speed Powerglide transmission. This iconic classic also features power steering, and upgraded cooling fan, and an upgraded 80 amp alternator. The car was purchased by the current owner in 1998 in Pontiac, MI and has enjoyed the car by cruising the infamous Woodward Avenue and taking it to many shows, in which, it has won multiple awards as pictured. It is believed to have the original 283ci under the hood and a higher performing Edelbrock carburetor was installed as well as the engine was resealed roughly 4 years ago. This particular '57 has been featured in many newspaper articles since '98 in the Metro Detroit area and it currently presents itself as a dependable driver quality classic. It is unknown the last time it was restored but over the years, the clear coat has started to diminish in a few areas but it does present itself well. The interior is of red cloth and is in very good condition as well as the grey headliner. The 1957 Chevrolet is one of the most iconic American classics and continues to be as popular today as it was in '57. It is said to be original mileage at 14,240 but this cannot be verified. Regardless, this is a very well running, show winning, iconic classic that you can get in and be the envy of everyone else on the road or take it to the next level with a full restoration.
