Product Details

THIS. . . Modified for track use, this Elise features an ECU tune, a baffled fuel tank, a lightweight flywheel, solid monoball control arm bushings, InoKinetic ULTRAdisc floating brake rotors, a polycarbonate windshield, a roll cage, a Lotus Cup driver's seat, Schroth Safety Products six-point harnesses, a quick-release Sparco steering wheel, and a Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems fire suppression system, among other aftermarket parts. The factory emergency brake system and ignition barrel have also been removed. Lotus introduced the second-generation Elise in America for 2005. Nimble and mid-engined, it was developed as a pure driver's car with an exceptionally balanced chassis and only a handful of comfort and convenience features. American sales stopped in 2011, though the model lived on overseas markets. Power comes from a 1. 8-liter 4-cylinder engine, rated at 190 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque when left stock. The modifications might increase those figures, but a dyno sheet is not available. Designed by Toyota and tuned by Yamaha, it spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
