The Chevrolet Bel Air is a full-size automobile produced by Chevrolet for the 1950–1981 model years. Initially, only the two-door hardtops in the Chevrolet model range were designated with the Bel Air name from 1950 to 1952, as distinct from the Styleline and Fleetline models for the remainder of the range. With the 1953 model year, the Bel Air name was changed from a designation for a unique body shape to a premium level of trim applied across a number of body styles. The Bel Air continued with various other trim level designations until US production ceased in 1975; production continued in Canada for its home market only through the 1981 model year. One of the most recognized icons in the automotive industry, the '57 Bel Air introduced minor improvements from the previous year like more chrome and featured a golden grille set off with a heavy chrome bar that included parking lights. This very nicely done Bel Air comes in Matador Red with all of the chrome side pieces and bumpers and in great shape and was restored a few years back and according to the owner no sheet metal had to be replaced and there are lots of receipts to document what was done when the car was restored. The interior is Red vinyl and with the black and red pattern cloth which is in fantastic shape with no visible rips or tears. Added to keep this running as smooth as it does where some auxiliary gauges including oil pressure, battery amps, tachometer, and water temperature. The engine in this Bel Air Chevy 5.7L 350ci V8 with lots of aftermarket parts added including an Edelbrock Carb, and muffler, Flowtech exhaust, and Jet-Hot headers this is controlled by the 4-speed manual with a Hurst shifter. This is a great example of a Bel Air with all the looks and style from '57 with a few updates that make it sound and drive as good as it looks.
