McLaren released the GT for 2020 as a more daily-drivable alternative to the other cars in its line-up, including the 720S. Offered only as a coupe, it featured supercar ingredients like a mid-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive, and a carbon fiber chassis mixed with road trip-friendly features such as a bigger trunk; it aimed to deliver practicality without sacrificing performance.
