Marking the third year of the 911SC, Porsche was taking orders quicker than they could build this new generation 911. The SC was now the only normally aspirated 911 Porsche available, replacing the 911S in the US and Canada and the 2.7 in rest of the World markets. The new buyer probably would not have noticed new details like the brake servo (fitted for the first time across the range), that greatly improved derivability around town and reduced pedal effort when the brakes were cold, but the increased power and performance delivered by the 3.0 liter engine could not go un noticed. This 1980 Porsche 911 SC Targa offered here features just 65364 miles and just three previous PCA owners, the second being a Porsche Master Technician. It is presented here in rare Casablanca Beige Metallic paint over beige / brown interior. The car has had the chain tensioner and pop off valve upgrades as well as the head studs. The car runs out very strong, no smoke on start up, shifts and down shifts well. Service records also indicate that a factory short shift kit has been installed, the suspension has been lowered a touch, shocks have been replaced, sway bare links replaced along with regular routine maintenance. The car boast excellent paint, new interior seat upholstery, restored original fuchs, excellent all around mechanicals and delivers the feel and driver satisfaction that is pure air cooled Porsche. The Porsche 911 has developed a global love affair with its enthusiasts and quality examples such as this are in short supply.
