Product Details

Henry Ford spent most his first years fighting off the idea of changing the Model T which produced and sold over 15 million models before his son, Edsel, finally convinced him that some new features and comforts were necessary. On May 25th, 1927, Ford announced the shutdown of the plant and production of the Model A and began retooling the entire factory to begin its new and improved version, the Model A. They completed this process in almost 6 months and had cars pumping out quickly which was only possible due to Edsel secretly marshaling the design and sketch team to begin working on the new model prior to Henry ever even approving such a change. This example comes with a great deal of originality including the original L-head 4-cylinder and 3-speed manual transmission on the floor, from the exterior to the interior this vehicle is much like a time capsule of one of the most iconic vehicles in history. The overall exterior is in great shape with its spare tire mounted over the driver side fender, the wheels are antique and in great condition as well, the paint is a beautiful tan with subtle green lines along the sides and the canvas top is in wonderful working shape. The interior has fresh material throughout but with keeping the dash and overall appearance of the vehicle as it should and had looked back in the day including the solid wood floors covered and protected by a rubber mat cut to fit. The trunk has been converted to a rumble seat which folds out with ease and was done to match the interior with its nice saddle material spread across the seats. Overall, mechanically this is a very sound vehicle which has received fresh battery, all the lights are in good working condition and holds no bounds on its drivability!
