Product Details

The Mercedes Benz 250SE series replaced the 220 and 230 six-cylinder models and served as the company's more sensible car. Featuring a subdued design, leatherette interior, durable construction and relatively good performance, the 1967 Mercedes Benz 250SE Coupe would be an instant success. The more powerful 2.5L engine was a welcomed addition with 150HP and a top speed of 120mph. The rear fin went away in 1965 and was replaced with a longer and lower body. The final production numbers for the 250SE are vague but believed to be less than 6,000 were produced from '65-'67 which gives the car some serious consideration for the collector. This stunning 250SE is a true time capsule that has only been owned by one family since new and miles are believed to be accurate. The car is almost all original with a factory correct repaint in 2002 that shows excellent today. Vehicle came from Germany with some unique features and this car was optioned with the following items; 426 – automatic 4speed transmission and power steering, 493 – heat exchanger, 503 – outside mirror on left side, 519 – Becker radio “Grand Prix”, 991 – special production option, which we believed to be the factory installed air conditioning system or the temperature gauge on glovebox. The car runs with plenty of power and starts with a quick turn of the key. Getting up to highway speeds is quick and effortlessly along with strong stopping power from the front and rear disc brakes. Once you are in the driver seat you feel the quality and craftsmanship that Mercedes put into their vehicles and the plush seats, gorgeous wood trim complimenting that every feature has a function. This car sets you apart from other vintage cars with its stellar reputation and the looks of sophistication. The mechanics of the vehicle are impressive – all lights minus the fog lights function properly, horn blows with the iconic European trumpet, original Becker radio still picks up the AM/FM stations, power sunroof opens and closes, foot pedal wipers work flawlessly, clock maintains the correct time and the A/C blows cold air! Fresh carpet kit was installed a few years back and was done with the period correct weave and fits to perfection. Car was just serviced with new front brakes, brake caliper and brake hose. Fresh oil change, new fuel sending unit, new antenna, recharge of A/C, new water pump, replaced front crank seal, and new exhaust system from down pipes and new muffler tips. The dark beige exterior is very classy and is complicated by a lot of chrome and trim pieces. Factory correct wheel covers that are painted in the exterior color match beautifully with the white wall tires. Vehicle comes with original tool kit, jack, spare tire, service receipts and multiple keys for ignition, trunk and glove box.
