Introduced in 1978 the Porsche 928 was anything but Porsche. Front engine, V8, Automatic Transmission, were all words that were not synonymous with the brand. The car was futuristic in design and the Luxury Sport Grand Touring 928 combined the power, poise, and handling characteristics of a sports car with the refinement, comfort and equipment of a luxury Sedan leading many executives to believe it was to replace the 911 as its appeal would hold a wider audience. Introduced in 1985 the Porsche 928S coupe is powered by a 32 valve 303 Cubic inch V8 the produces 288 horsepower at 5750 RPM and 302 pound feed of torque at 2700 RPM . Much improved from its doggish predecessor the 928. At a time when all manufactures were grasping for performance states, the 928S posted impressive states for the era including: 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, 0-100 in 13.5 seconds and a standing quarter mile at 14 seconds and 102 miles per hour. The car features just 23846 miles since new and remains in excellent original condition through out. In the summer of 2016, the car was treated to a major service including a complete timing belt and water pump replacement that included new tensioners, rollers, bushings, gaskets and bolts. Other serviced items includes oil and filter, hood release cable, new hood lift shocks, rear lift gate lift shocks, and other knit picky services…total services totaled over $6300.00 dollars. The car features its original "Special Wishes L999 Custom ordered" White Gold Metallic paint (Weissgoldmetallic), over original Tobacco leather interior.
