Product Details

The E12 or 5-series was made between 1972 and 1981, it was the first to bear the 5 series name, the 5 denoting the “new class” platform. Furthermore for the US Market only did the E12 differ in several ways. They were generally sold as upscale models and as such were fitted with power windows, wood trim, and usually leather interiors and air conditioning as standard. They also chose to sell only fuel-injected models. The absolute beautiful 530i that we are offering here is a two owner car with the current owner residing over the car since 1978. The car has a after market BAE Turbo charger kit that was installed when he purchased the car. This is a very early example of a after market turbo. The owner states that the car has always been garaged and maintained. The top end of the engine was rebuilt less than 15,000 miles ago and all mechanicals are up to date. This is a original paint and interior car that shows typical wear but is in very good condition. This 530i starts, runs and brakes wonderfully and is a hoot to drive. These body styles are very attractive and desired.
