For the 1991 to 1994 model years, Mercedes collaborated with Porsche to create a high performance version of the W124. Each E 500 was hand built and transported multiple times between the Mercedes plant in Sindelfingen and the Porsche plant in Zuffenhausen. It's powered by the naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine derived from the 500 SL. In 1994, the sports car braking performance came from the 600 SL. In the USA , the E 500 came fully equipped with the only options being dealer installed CD changer & cellular phone. Despite the young age, the E 500 is already considered a classic with the Porsche collaboration, its distinguished look, limited production numbers, and its hand built construction. This E 500 was originally delivered to California before coming to Michigan to be recertified from a Rebuilt title in 1998. This car was recently purchased out of Kansas and brought to Ohio where it has been well cared for to bring it up to the excellent condition it sits today. It's powered by the 5.0L V8 engine and automatic transmission. It features a rebuilt transmission, new NOS AMG wheels, new Hankook tires, new leather seats, new headliner, new headlights, new floor mats, new brakes/rotors, heated front seats, aftermarket CD player, power windows, rear window shade, moonroof, and much more. This is a very well documented car with paperwork to show how the car showed up in our showroom as an incredible stunner.
