When Henry Ford brought the production of his successful T to a close, the whole world eagerly awaited the new version to the car that put America on wheels. This was no small task as the T was produced for almost two decades with Americans depending on the reliability and simplicity it offered. The Ford Motor Company worked hard to ensure that the T's replacement would live up to the expectations of millions and when the first 4,000 Model A's were built in December of 1927 they were all snatched up by eager customers by the end of the month. The beautifully restored 1928 Model A Rumble Seat Roadster offered here is just out of long term collection. It is dressed in a glossy black paint and shines well. The chrome is in great shape and accents the body well. There is a rear mounted spare wheel and tire. The lights and horn work as well. The brown leather interior appears to have been redone at the time of restoration and shows well. As you can see in the photos, this American classic was restored properly, even right down to the last nut and bolt. While we were inspecting the underbody we noticed that new grease zerks were installed as well as new castle nuts and new cotter pins. The Model A comes with side curtains. This Model A Runs and Handles as it should and goes down the road nicely. Hop in the rumble seat, or behind the wheel, and this car is sure to put a smile on your face.
