Factory equipment on this Camaro includes a 4. 0-liter Whipple supercharger, a solid rear axle, a roll cage, two racing bucket seats, a driver safety harness, Chevrolet Performance gauges, and a Hurst Quarterstick floor shifter. Modifications include Weld wheels, Mickey Thompson racing tires, 6-bolt GM LSX heads, and "Strange" decals on the doors and bumpers. Chevrolet brought the Camaro nameplate back in 2010 after a long hiatus. Previewed by a concept in 2006, the fifth-generation model wore a heritage-laced exterior design that borrowed some styling cues from the original car and it received an independent rear suspension system. It remained a pony car at heart — its main rival was the Ford Mustang, but it was also aimed at Japanese coupes like the Nissan 370Z. The 2012 COPO Camaro was a factory drag car designed for NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. It stripped out most creature comforts and modern tech features and added many performance upgrades and track-focused features like a roll cage and racing harness. Production was limited to 69 units, two of which were finished in Ashen Gray. Power comes from an "LSX" 5. 3-liter supercharged V8 engine, rated at 550 horsepower. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission.
