This truck has Canadian origination and shows 97,292 kilometers which converts to 60,454 miles. The Scout was sold brand new on November 5, 1979 from REA Truck Sales Limited in Ontario, Canada. The truck was sold new for $12,554 and the original owner traded an older scout in on it. This Scout has documentation including the original sales receipt, line setting ticket, owner's manual, maintenance information booklet, service manual that has some hand written logged in oil changes, and dealer brochures. This Scout is powered by a healthy 345 V8 mated to a 4 speed Borg- Warner manual transmission that functions as it should. The scout features a 2 speed TC 146 transfer case with 3:31 Hayes Dayna rear axle. The scout also has lockomatic hubs. The engine area shows very well, the block and other engine components are painted up. The carburetor has been upgraded to a Holley 4 barrel. The factory coil has been switched out to an Accel super coil. The Scout has power steering and power brakes. It also features the original jack and tire iron mounted under the hood. Along with the sale of the vehicle come a few receipts of minor work done to the truck over the years. The interior remains in original condition. The interior is finished in Russet vinyl/nylon, which was a part of the custom interior trim package which was the highest level offered. The Scout has other options including folding rear seat, heavy duty clutch, electric clock, sport tilt steering wheel, console for bucket seats, fuel tank skid plate, and much more. The hard top is removable with a handful of nuts and bolts, however we chose not to take it off in this particular instance in order to keep the original, deluxe interior looking as good as possible. The exterior has received one recent repaint and some vinyl graphics. The truck shows well. The dual exhaust has 2 glass pack style “cherry bombs” for mufflers and it sounds great. This scout rides on 31x10.5x15 BF Goodrich radial all terrains mounted on chrome Cragar wheels.
