A well equipped car, this has air-conditioning, anti-theft, central locking, power windows, cruise control, fog lights, and a six speaker Blaupunkt stereo. The well known 3.2L flat six cylinder air cooled engine that is mated to the much improved G50 transmission is a hallmark of the later model classic Carrera body style. The exterior of this example is superb. Finished in Guards Red, this has an even paint coat and no chips or dents. The plastic and rubber trim is also excellent and is supple and fade free. The interior is very nice as well with a crack free dash, working instruments and switches. The upholstery is rip and stain free with just a bit of stiffness. The 3.2L engine fires up without a problem and pulls very strong. With 215hp, the air-cooled buzz sounds great. The G50 transmission is very strong and very desirable. Good crisp shifts and a clutch with good bite is a sign of a good example.
