When the larger Fury was introduced the Belvedere (sharing the platform with the Dodge Charger) was moved to be the mid-size offering from Plymouth with the Satellite being offered as the highest trim model in the series. The Satellite came standard with bucket seats, a center console, and exclusively with V8 engines. 1968, was the first year of second generation using the Satellite name which was also the first year for the Plymouth Road Runner which shared the same body. This '68 Satellite was delivered new to Massey Andrews in Clearwater, Florida and was last purchased in 2002 in Michigan. It is an extremely well documented car with original owner's manual, certicard, build sheet, and professionally reproduced window sticker. It is powered by the numbers matching original 318ci V8 engine paired with the A904 tourqueflite automatic transmission. It was delivered with factory air conditioning, light package, power steering, moldings, alternator, and wheel covers. There have been some light modifications for drivability including: 15” American Racing wheels, 2 ¼” dual exhaust, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 650 CFM 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke, competition cam & lifters, MOPAR electronic ignition, Grady wood steering wheel, Competition Engineering subframe connectors, ADDCO front sway bar kit, VDO tachometer, MOPAR aluminum valve covers, 26” radiator, Radiator expansion tank, and new OEM seat covers. It's a rare and extremely well documented car that runs and drives great!
