Chrysler revamped their product line looking forward to more options and style, and away from bare bones necessity. These beautiful roadsters were meant to (and did) compete with Cadillac and Lincoln to cut in to the booming luxury market. This rare roadster was produced in early 1930 and is distinguished by the pennant-shaped hood louvers and its parking lamps mounted on the windshield posts. Another prominent feature is the beautiful winged radiator cap that brilliantly leads the way down the road. This '30 Chrysler Series 70 roadster with a rumble seat is in excellent condition and has been the winner of many awards at numerous shows. This car was restored in 1992 in El Paso, Texas, but it still looks very fresh. It features the original 218ci inline 6 cylinder engine (75 horsepower) paired with the original 4-speed transmission. The early 70 also used paraflex springs, Delco Remy ignition, and a mechanical fuel pump. The top is in excellent condition. This car is the product of a great restoration back to original stock specifications. This is a very rare example of one of the best Chrysler models ever made. This car runs and drives great.
