Product Details

The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had mass produced a true all-around sports car. This '65 Corvette roadster is offered here publicly for the first time since 1998. It's a stunner in beautiful Nassau Blue paint with white interior. It was professionally restored shortly after it was purchased with the paint still in excellent condition. The restoration also included the bumpers being sent out to be re-chromed. It's powered by a period correct rebuilt by Performance Engineering L79 327ci V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It also features the original radio, knock-off wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes, new wheel bearings, rebuilt carburetor, and a fiberglass rear leaf spring (has original). This Corvette is an impressive example of a C2 Corvette restored to stock specifications. This generation of Corvettes is one of the most popular body styles of all time and makes for a great investment. Plus, it's also a great summer car to drive and show off!
