Chevrolet produced a Z06 variant to their forever classic Corvette model for the first time in 1963 which was their second generation of this model also known as the C2. Chevrolet had to get creative when working on their performance options as the SCCA had put in a new policy out about not allowing Manufacturers to sponsor any of the racers of that time. This gave Chevrolet a reason to make these race-ready vehicles as an easy to find option from the factory when ordering their vehicles and so you began to see these Corvettes with improved braking, stiffer suspension and even an overall wider and lower design to the car itself to increase its potential. This great package option was discontinued after the C2 but returned as a nametag option for the C5, C5 and C7 models since and has proven to still have the performance-minded buyers in full consideration. The current and only owner has kept this vehicle as you would expect to find a new one from the showroom floor as and with literally only 2,857 miles used, it certainly doesn't show any wear or tear at all. The overall look to this car is aggressive but with an impressively luxurious interior, you may forget how built for speed this car is when inside. Featuring the 6.2L Supercharged engine mated to a 7-Speed which hosts active rev matching, this vehicle comes with 650 hp and 650 ft lbs of torque as its standard rating out of the factory, has multi-mode performance exhaust, performance Z06 suspension, magnetic ride control, dry sump oil system and a performance brake system which includes your slotted rotors. The creature comforts are the part to this ride that really sets it apart from the rest. Coming standard for this high-end package was a removable carbon fiber roof panel, carbon fiber hood, rear spoiler and front spiltter which all goes towards the looks but also its lightweight design, dual-zone temperature control and 8-way power seats in the front were all standard with its 8” color touchscreen media center as well. Added to this beauty is what was called the 3LZ package, the highest trim you could go. This plush package which hosted an MSRP of $8,650 alone, included memory seat package, power lumbar, premium bucket seats with Nappa leather stretched across them, power heated exterior mirrors, suede microfiber-wrapped upper trim package, custom leather wrapped instrument panel and doors, heated and ventilated seats, universal garage opener, performance data and video recorder and a premium audio with surround sound technology.
