Product Details

The TR4 Received its styling with the help of Giovanni Michelotti. It had similar chassis configurations of the beloved TR3A except the steering was upgraded to a Rack –and-pinion set up. Introduced in 1961, the TR4 had been given a modern appearance with the elimination of the low-slung doors and the addition of roll up windows. The TR4 was successful both in sales and in sporting events. They could often be seen competing in SCCA , hill-climb, and rally events where the provided plenty of podium finishes for their owners. The 1964 Triumph TR4 offered here comes to us from a private collection and has been treated to a complete, frame off, highly detailed restoration sparing no expense, this process was completed approximately 10 years ago. It has remained in the same family for over 25 years and is finished in its original color, Powder Blue over blue interior. The exterior paint, fit and finish is excellent in every respect featuring its original chrome, trim and bright-work. The Interior is exquisitely finished with blue leather with ivory contrasting piping, and is as new in all areas featuring a perfect dash, wood dash face, original Jaeger gauges and finished off with its classic original banjo steering wheel. The engine bay is highly detailed along with a completely restored and finished frame and underside. Other highlights include a perfect soft top and full tonneau. Mechanically, the numbers matching 2.0 liter dual carb inline 4 along with its 4 speed manual transmission have been completely and properly rebuilt. The brakes, steering and suspension have all been rebuilt and refurbished as well to the highest of standards. As a result, the performance of this car is amazing in all aspects. The motor pull strong in every gear, the transmission shifts with precision, the brakes stop straight and quickly, and the suspension along with the steering is very tight and responsive.
