In 1970 & 1971, the Cutlass Supreme was available with the Code Y-79 high performance SX option package. The SX option included the larger 455ci Rocket V8 borrowed from the 442 along with the cutout rear bumper and exhaust trumpets, 442's rallye suspension, distinctive SX badges, and other features. The SX option was the way Oldsmobile could combine the performance of the 442 with the luxury of the Cutlass Supreme. Only 793 were ever built making them very rare to find. This SX 455 convertible is in excellent condition and was restored in 2005 to stock specifications. It is powered by the original 455ci V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Muscle motoring doesn't get much better than top down cruising with a monster 455 pulling the way! It features original wheels, original radio, power steering, hood scoops, power front disc brakes, power convertible top, and buckets seats. This is a beast of a muscle car that not many people know about.
