Built from 1960 through 1976 the Dart name was originally used by a the Italian coachbuilder Ghia. The Dart was introduced as a lower-priced full-sized car in 1960 but then quickly became a mid-sized car and then finally a compact from 1963-1976. By 1967 brought the 4th generation and quite arguably the cleanest and sharpest design yet. They received revised steering, a complete face-lift, a wider stance and the ability to accept a wider range of engine options including big blocks with the redesigned K-member up front. Curved glass was also used for the first time ever in a Chrysler compact that created a unique appearance at the rear of the Dart. The "Swinger" name was applied to all the Dart two-door hardtops except in the high-line custom series, the swinger model was available as a four- door version as well but few were actually produced. The performance model in the Dart line for 1970 was the Swinger 340 2-door hardtop. The 1970 Swinger 340 came with functional hood scoops with 340 emblems. Standard equipment included front disc brakes (only on the Swinger), heavy duty "Rallye" suspension, a 3.23:1 rear axle ratio, fiberglass-belted bias-ply tires mounted to 14" × 5½" steel wheels, and a bumble bee stripe. This '70 Dodge Dart Swinger is a 2-owner car that is a really cool and really rare find. There are very few Dodge Dart Swinger's out there for purchase, and this is a Mopar classic that comes with the original build sheets. It's appears to be powered by the original 340ci V8 engine and 3-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. It features fresh paint (professionally done), 4-barrel carburetor, flat black hood with tie down pins, power brakes, dual exhaust, bench seats, original radio with 8-track player, and much more! This a can't miss investment car and a lot of fun to drive!
