When Ford introduced the 1st generation of Mustangs in 1964 they flipped the entire automotive industry on its ear. The Mustang was so successful it actually created a new class of automobile as the other manufacturers hurried to offer similar models. The Mustang grew for 1969 & 1970 to accommodate for the bigger engines and new racing options. The styling of these model years with flowing lines and quad headlamps is widely sought after as the most popular years of the legendary Mustang muscle car era. This '70 Mustang Convertible is a great find that was delivered new to Hawkinson Ford in Oak Lawn, Illinois. We hold the Marti Report showing this car was built in May of 1970 in Dearborn, Michigan with a 302ci V8 and C4 cruise-o-matic transmission. It was originally red, but was repainted as part of a selective restoration and shows excellent with the chrome also in excellent condition. It also features power steering, 2.79 gears, power convertible top, bucket seats, and more. The color may have changed for this pony, but this car features a lot of originality (mechanically, inside, and out). This car is a blast to drive offering awesome top down muscle car era cruising. 1970 is a great year for the legendary Mustang making this convertible not only awesome, but a great investment opportunity as well.
