The Impala SS was a muscle car in an era where none existed. From a mechanical standpoint, it used the Caprice 9C1 police package as its base and got most of its equipment that was previously only available to law enforcement & government agencies. This included a sport-tuned suspension with reinforced shocks & springs, a high-capacity reverse flow cooling system, larger four-wheel disc brakes, transmission cooler, dual exhaust, a higher output electrical system, and other alterations. The LT1 5.7L V8 was standard on the Impala SS paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. These full-size sedans are big and powerful! This 1996 Impala SS is an awesome all-stock and low-mileage example that collectors crave for. This car was last titled in December of 1996 and was stored inside and well cared for as part of a private collection. This cars low mileage and excellent care is reflected in the condition inside, outside, and underneath. It's powered by the original 5.7L V8 SFI engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. This car also features keyless entry, power windows, power antenna, leather seats, power 4-wheel disc brakes, limited slip axle, power driver's seat, full coil suspension, air conditioning, and much more! This highly original collectible is an excellent example of Detroit muscle!
