We are excited to offer this 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280GE for purchase. The G-wagon series was produced by Steyr-Puch for distribution by Mercedes, and was not manufactured for the United States market until 2002. The G-wagons were are a civilian version of the popular military vehicles first produced in 1979. Their high quality, go anywhere build makes this an extremely desirable all-terrain vehicle that is built to last. These 4-wheel drive SUV's quickly gained popularity. Their prototypes were tested to not be scared of any terrain, and Mercedes proved it by testing them in German Coalfields, the Sahara Desert, and the Arctic Circle. Many consider these to be the premier off-road vehicles available. This 280GE is powered by a 2.8L Inline 6 cylinder engine. It features 4-wheel drive and locking differentials. It also has a cd player, and has 2 inward facing bench seats behind the 2nd row. The plaid seats, interior, and exterior are all in excellent condition. This is as nice a G-wagon as you will find. This G-wagon was imported in March of this year, and is properly titled here in the United States. The odometer reads 71,186 kilometers which equals 44,117 miles.
