When Ford introduced the 1st generation of Mustangs they flipped the entire automotive industry on its ear. The unibody design was much smaller, lighter, and more rigid than anything available. The long hood could accommodate a variety of engine configurations including a high performance V8. This combined with its sharp looks and state of the art manufacturing made this one of the favorites since inception and holds its popularity even for its newest generations. Along with the innovative design, the styling of these Mustangs remains timeless and iconic. This example of the Ford Mustang Coupe has seen a massive amount of quality restoration including all new glass, undercoated with rust protectant, all filler removed and replaced with lead/metal and was brought to bare metal paint which was a two-step process to ensure the quality and durability of its fresh paint which was completed only a year ago. Now hosting the ever popular 302 V8 mated to an American Powertrain 5-Speed with new clutch and short shift Hurst assembly, this is not only a great looking but a great driving machine. Also installed to this legend is a new set of headers, all new exhaust from those new headers on back and kept era correct, all electrical wiring harnesses were replaced when restored, new alternator, new carpet and rubber matting to improve the sound deadening and moisture protection and even a new dash. There was clearly no penny pinching completed on this build and with its American racing wheels shining bright with a fresh set of BF Goodrich tires on it, it certainly needs no immediate work or upkeep.
