Product Details

Porsches started experimenting with Turbo technology in the late 60's for the race program. It was not until 1973 that they decided to move forward with a street version Turbo. This was to put them in more direct competition with automakers like Ferrari and Lamborghini. However, with the changing emissions laws around the globe and here in the US, the 930's were no longer available here through dealers from 1980 through 1985. The only way you could get a 930 in to the states was to import them and proceed with the grueling task of dealing with the Environmental Protection Agency, US Dept. of Transportation and Customs. The 930 was Germanys fastest production car and proved to be a exhilarating car to drive. It was producing just over 300 HP and by 1984 they were making the fastest ones yet putting out 0-60 times in the mid 4 second range. This car is one of those cars and was imported by a woman in Chicago on 5/30/85. This 930 that we are presenting has every receipt from day one with the last full service just being completed including belts, hoses, valve adjustment, oil lines and brakes. It comes with the original spare, jack and inflation pump. All of the records of when and how the car was imported is also present. In addition to this car being completely maintained all of its life it has also had a larger turbo and intercooler that is putting out about 400 HP. All info on this build is also available and has been done to the highest standards. These cars are becoming extremely hard to find and becoming investment grade opportunities.
