The 455 was only available on the Cutlass Supreme as a special order option in 1972 and included a TH400 3-speed automatic and tailpipe cutouts in the rear bumper. This outstanding example is in excellent condition with 41,350 original documented miles between 2 owners. It was purchased new in New York and remained a NY car until the 2nd and current owner purchased it in the Spring of 2010. It received a repaint in its original Viking Blue and the original engine was completely rebuilt by Thorsen's Racing Engines in Dewitt, MI in 2011 at 34,000 miles and upgraded with all new balance internals, 10.5:1 compression Speed Pro pistons, and a W-30 cam making an estimated 400hp. The original TH400 received new gaskets and seals. It also sports its original Super Stock wheels, original spare with the original Goodyear Polyglass tire, original T3 headlights, and the original final inspection stamp from the factory is still visible on the firewall.
