1953 was the first year of the 2nd generation of Ford F-series trucks and it was the first year using the designations that still last today (F100, F250, etc). More options also became available including the first offering of an automatic transmission. Ford was changing trucks from strictly used as farm equipment to something you wouldn't actually mind driving for more than 100 yards at a time. Today in the classic world these trucks are gaining popularity for their timeless style and many end up as “restomods” where modern technology added allows you to cruise today's streets in style. This 1953 Ford F100 was out of Kansas and restored to be a show truck and really nice cruiser with a display combination with a 1957 Cushman (is also offered here for $5,000 asking price) hand painted to match. This truck received a full restoration and it is powered by an awesome 1957 392 Hemi V8 engine paired with a 727 automatic transmission. It features a B & M shifter, new bucket seats, wood bed, electronic ignition, HD radiator, power brakes, dual exhaust, 3:23 gears with a Chrysler 8 3/4" limited slip rear end, and more. This is a really eye catching build with great performance ready to go to the next owner to cruise and show off!
