Product Details

Plymouth entered the light duty truck market in 1937. Some Plymouth dealerships were not paired with Dodge leaving them without a truck to offer. The Chrysler Corporation essentially cloned the Dodge pickup with the Plymouth brand name to have the dealerships covered. The PT 105 model was limited to just the 1940 model year only with the body overhaul of all Chrysler vehicles in 1941. These Plymouth trucks are great looking classics and extremely rare compared to other Detroit brands from the times. This 1940 Plymouth PT 105 is in excellent condition restored to mostly stock specifications. The dash, body, engine, and drivetrain give the true feeling of driving a classic farm truck with plenty of style and heads turning. This truck was last purchased in 2001 in Florida. Since then it has been stored and well maintained used only as a show truck. This is a solid body that looks great inside, outside and underneath. It's powered by the correct inline six cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. The gauges were professionally rebuilt and calibrated recently with everything working properly. This truck has also received a new bladder in the gas tank, new gas lines, and new wiring. There is even a well hidden CD player and radio with remote for those cruises without ruining the beautiful classic interior of this workhorse. This truck runs and drives great and is an incredible rare find for any collection.
