To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic and game changing line, Ford scheduled 1,500 special edition models to be produced. They featured a Cashmere Tri-Coat metallic paint, custom interior, and special badging. The removable hardtop with port windows is also painted to match and the car is fully optioned to complete the package. The last year of the Thunderbird is a perfect reflection and tribute to the excellence the line gave to the automotive industry with the perfect personal luxury car. Not only is this a special edition, #1,362 of 1,500 but it has a great history with just over 5,000 miles. It was used as part of a dealer's personal collection until it was sold for the first time in 2014. The car remains in showroom condition with a couple minor upgrades (aftermarket radio/nav/backup camera and fuel/air ratio monitor) and we do have the original radio to make it possible to put back to 100% stock. It's powered by the original 3.9L DOHC V8 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission. It also features heated leather seats, climate control, Audiophile sound system, 17” micro-machined wheels, power cloth convertible top, dual exhaust, tilt/telescope steering wheel, 4-wheel independent suspension, variable assist power steering, 4-wheel ventilate disc brakes, all speed traction control, front and side airbags, and more!
