This 13 month build project was done with some very impressive thoughts and engineering. Built to honor the WW II 112th Medical Division that the father of the builder was assigned to during the Pacific theater. The truck started out a s 1997 ¾ ton pickup and was stripped of its sheet metal and mated to a 1953 GMC pickup cab and hood. The rear bed then was custom made to meet the look they desired and also to accommodate the scooter with special mounts. The 8 lug wheel setup gives a great look and mean look. Two extra spares are mounted on the bed. The paint is less than 3 months old and was finished with the flat army green and custom camo paint job on the wooden bed of trailer and rails. Extra gas cans and ammo boxes are mounted and strapped on to complete the look. A few extra dummy rounds of .50 caliber bullets complete the look with proper decals and the dual port holes on side and sun visor for front windshield. Custom grill give the mean look and the fangs could easily be removed or painted over. The new gas tank is located under the bed and the tow package is set to trailer the bike around or whatever else you may want to hook up. The brand new 350 Vortec V8 engine has less than 500 miles logged on it and vehicle runs and drives almost like a new vehicle. Great exhaust note that adds to the whole package. Interior is finished in gun metal grey and custom cut out steering wheel gives the truck a tank like feel. 3 cup holders that were custom made and will handle any beverage you like and ammo box center console has plenty of room to store your needs. Leather seats are in great shape and out of a modern Tahoe. The whole vehicle is in great shape and reflects the recent custom work. No signs of rust or issues and suspension is all new. The scooter is a calibration of many things, but the story is that the 100lb test bomb was an authentic from the field and is strapped and mounted onto a Baja scooter frame. The bike runs and fires right up with a pull of the rip cord and is decaled up and custom mounted to the trailer. Trailer is the same build quality of the bike and truck and has a convenient drop tail gate with winch. As mentioned, this is something you most likely will not see again and the total build job was stated as well over $55k in parts, material and labor. It is always cheaper to buy a project done then starting from scratch. This combo represents a ton of value and one that should be considered for any avid collector, military aficionado or the person that likes to have the coolest vehicle in the 4th of July parade.
