Product Details

1953 was the first year of the 2nd generation of Ford F-series trucks and it was the first year using the designations that still last today (F100, F250, etc). More options also became available including the first offering of an automatic transmission. Ford was changing trucks from strictly used as farm equipment to something you wouldn't actually mind driving for more than 100 yards at a time. Today in the classic world these trucks are gaining popularity for their timeless style and many end up as “restomods” where modern technology added allows you to cruise today's streets in style. Due to the fact almost every truck was purchased for work purposes finding solid metal body examples is very rare. This truck came out of Nevada in 2006 with a full restoration. It's powered by a 390ci V8 engine and automatic transmission. A lot of money was invested in every little detail of this really cool build resulting in a beautiful '53 pickup in Dupont Royal Red. It has many cool features that include: aluminum valve covers, power disc brakes, RV cam shaft, chrome water pump, chrome alternator, chrome power steering, Vintage air conditioning, 10-disc CD player, keyless entry with door poppers, power windows, Cragar wheels, oak bed, dual exhaust, custom chrome bumpers, Edelbrock carburetor, custom interior, and Ford 9” rear end with Mustang II front end assembly. This truck is in show condition and is a lot of fun to drive. It is a great cruiser with a ton of curb appeal.
