Product Details

The Oldsmobile 442 became its own model line in 1968 after being an option package for the Cutlass. The 442 etymology comes from 4-barrel carburetor, 400 cubic inch displacement, and dual exhausts. The 442 is a muscle car legend with its GM Cousins of the same platform (Chevelle, GTO , and GS). This car is a true 442 that was originally an Alabama car sold new at Steel City Oldsmobile in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a W-32 clone as part of the restoration. It has the placards and the mechanicals that would come with a W-32 car. Offered in just 1969 & 1970, with each year having a distinct flavor, the 1969 option was in 442's and was called their “street package”. It included a high lift cam, hi-rise intake, and forced air system. The original carburetor, distributor, and steering wheel are in the trunk if you want to buy this beauty and put it back to original. This is a '69 Oldsmobile 442 Hardtop Coupe in stunning excellent condition. It was fully restored in 1999 and appears to retain its original sheet metal. It is powered by the original numbers matching 400ci V8 4-bbl engine and 400 turbo hydra-matic transmission. It came well optioned in Platinum Silver, bench seat, power steering, air conditioning, vinyl roof, dual stripe hood, deluxe push button radio, Rocket Rally Pac, 3-speed floor shift, and more. It also features Coker redline tires with SSI wheels, rear coil over shocks, Flowmaster mufflers, HEI distributor, and electric choke carburetor. This is a well-documented 442 and it is stunning inside, outside, and underneath.
