Product Details

We are pleased to present this 1975 International Scout 2 4x4 for purchase. International Harvester developed the Scout as a precursor of more sophisticated SUV's to come. The only other 4-wheel drive recreational vehicles offered at the time were Jeeps. The Scouts became known for their ability to go anywhere and have high durability. They are a key part of automotive history being considered the first SUV . This truck was the recent recipient of a accurate and complete restoration. According to the owner, the 345 V8 was rebuilt, as is the 727 automatic transmission, both in smooth running and functioning order. The transfer case was also rebuilt. Some options include disc brakes, air conditioning, roll bar, removable hard top, Mickey Thompson wheels and tires. The truck was disassembled and completely redone, almost down the the last nut and bolt. The paint is in great shape and so is the chrome and shows very well. This truck is ready for the road and will not leave you dissatisfied in any manor as it is one of the nicest Scouts we have seen.
