Ford Motor Company used names for cars that would spark interest during in the big space race. With names like Comet, Meteor, Falcon, Thunderbird, the name “Galaxie” was a perfect fit for the full size car. 1964 was the last model year of the 2nd generation, but it did feature several alterations including the more sculpted “slant roof” design that made the car more aerodynamic for NASCAR . This '64 Galazie 500 is a really cool build that is just recently completed with very low miles since the restoration. It is powered by a 351ci Windsor V8 engine stroked to 383ci with twin (63mm bullseye) turbos paired with a 4R70W automatic transmission. It is believed to be producing 584 horsepower at the rear wheels and 700 at the engine. It features new leather seats, 3” exhaust, Dart Heads, Eagle Crankshaft, Ford 9” rear end, 3:73 pro street gears, MSD Ignition, Lock-up torque convertor, power driver's seat, front disc brakes, transmission cooler, HD radiator, and much more!
