Factory equipment includes the Trailer Tow Group IV, the SRT High Performance audio system, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, active dampening suspension, adaptive cruise control with stop, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and 20-inch split 5-spoke wheels. Modifications are limited to a MagnaFlow exhaust system and tinted windows. Jeep demonstrated a completely different side of the "WK2"-generation Grand Cherokee when it released the SRT8 model for 2012. This version of the big SUV wasn't built to explore the wilderness: it was developed for on-pavement performance thanks to a Hemi V8 engine, an adaptive suspension system, and massive brakes. Jeep dropped the "8" from the name in 2014, and production ended in 2021. Power comes from a 6. 4-liter Hemi V8, rated at 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
