Product Details

Nearly 30,000 TD's had been produced by the time the final cars rolled off the line in 1953 with the most being exported to the United States. In 1952 Motor Trend Magazine tested the TD and found that it had a top speed of 77 MPH with a 0-60 time of around 18 seconds. Not exactly a land speed record but with a 26.5 MPG average and a large 15 gallon fuel tank making for almost 300 miles to a tank a fuel was a pretty good feat. These cars are very handsome with a great ride. They are becoming very popular among collectors and the good ones are becoming increasingly pricey. This particular model comes out of long-term family ownership dating back to the early 1980's. The very attractive Black over Red is highly attractive and still shows very well for a relatively older restoration. This is a numbers matching car that has zero rot. The paint shines nice and the interior is in good condition with some minor wear and tear. The top fits nicely with one area of wear that is shown in the pics. This TD is in excellent mechanical condition that starts perfectly every time that drives down the road perfectly with excellent braking. Continue to use it as a driver or this would be a excellent example for a frame off concourse restoration.
