The Chevrolet Impala has been a staple in the GM line up since 1958. When conceived, these were big, beautiful cars that were the pinnacle of the Chevrolet model, offering performance mixed with style and flair. In the early 60's, the Impala had been refined with smooth lines and a lower stance pioneering the “Long and Low” look that became so popular at that time. It also came in many forms: a 2 door couple, a 2 door hardtop, a 2 door convertible, a 4 door Hardtop, a 4 door Sedan and a 4 door Station wagon. There was and impala to fit anybody's needs at that time, and with the addition of certain performance packages and the Super Sport, these cars could be ordered in nearly and configuration to fit the personality of its owner. It is no wonder why the Chevrolet Impala was one of the best selling vehicles of all time.
