1999 Lotus Esprit V8, finished in Lotus Yellow with a black interior. Factory equipment includes 17-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, Brembo front brake calipers, a removable roof panel, fog lights, a rear spoiler, leather upholstery, sport seats, and more listed below. The only reported modification is a Raid steering wheel. Lotus released the Esprit in 1976 and made numerous design and mechanical updates to the model over the next 28 years. Peter Stevens gave it a less angular exterior design in 1988, power steering was made standard in 1994, and the 1997 model year brought a twin-turbocharged V8 (the first in the Esprit's history) that was designed in-house. Production ended in 2004, and only a small amount were shipped to North America. Power comes from a 3. 5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, rated at 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Mid-mounted, it spins the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transaxle.
